GONG P-modes

The peakfind results for GONG Month 302 show that the frequency shifts have started to decrease indicating that the solar maximum has already passed.

    The frequency shifts for GONG month 303 decreased further confirming that solar activity is in descending phase. The smooth profile over 180 days also shows a decreasing pattern. However, a smooth profile over one year does not provide a conclusive answer.
